About Karma
Working for Strong, Healthy and Safe Communities in Ward 2
My name is Karma O’Neill
and I arrived in Annapolis in 1993, shortly after graduating from Roanoke College. I have lived in the Ward 2 community for more than 16 years with my husband of twenty years, Sean O’Neill, and our two children, Carter 18, and Jillian 15.
Both children have spent their K-12 years in the public schools of our neighborhood, where they thrived. I have worked to promote, understand, and celebrate the diversity of our community while striving to make the system work better for all of us.
I have built strong relationships through organizing and leading community activities such as the Thanksgiving Jam, where holiday meals are distributed to more than 100 families. I coordinate the delivery of food to families with extra need during the pandemic through the city’s Food Friday program. I serve or have served on several boards and commissions including Anne Arundel County Public Schools Citizens Advisory Committee, the Germantown Elementary, Annapolis Middle School, and Annapolis High School PTSAs, and Art in Public Places Commission, to name a few.
